Named one of CBC Music’s “30 under 30” classical musicians, violinist and violist Danielle Greene is a first violinist in the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Her first tenured position was with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.

Native to St. John’s, Newfoundland, Danielle has been extremely active in the Canadian music scene over the past several years. She won second prize, as well as the audience prize at the Orford Music Award Competition and was also a finalist in the Eckhardt- Gramatté National Competition. Ms. Greene was two-time winner of the Glenn Gould School’s Chamber Music Competition and was winner of the University of Toronto’s Concerto Competition. As a violist, Danielle was a finalist in the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition, as a founding member of the Myriade Quartet. Danielle has performed with numerous ensembles across the country, such as the National Arts Centre Orchestra, the Agora Ensemble, Symphony Nova Scotia, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, and the Alberta Baroque Ensemble. Ms. Greene has served as Concertmaster for numerous orchestras, including the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, the Royal Conservatory Orchestra and New Music Ensemble, and the University of Toronto Symphony Orchestra. Additionally, she has been invited to perform as Guest Concertmaster with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Vancouver Island Symphony. Furthermore, Ms. Greene has performed in public masterclasses for some of the worlds most renowned artists: Noah Bendix-Balgey(Concertmaster, Berlin Philharmonic), Benjamin Bowman (Concertmaster, the MET), and the Julliard String Quartet, to name a few. International summer festivals that Danielle has been invited to participate in include the Verbier Festival, Kneisel Hall, Colorado College, the St. Lawrence String Quartet Seminar, the Pinchas Zukerman Young Artist Program, and Manchester Music Festival. Danielle was also a member of the resident string quartet at the European American Musical Alliance in Paris.  

Danielle holds an Artist Diploma from the Glenn Gould School, where she studied with Barry Shiffman and Erika Raum. She completed her bachelor’s degree at the University of Toronto studying violin with Jonathan Crow and viola with Teng Li. Danielle also studied viola with André Roy in the Artist Diploma Program at McGill.

Peter Clark is a passionate orchestral horn player currently serving as 2nd/Assistant Principal Horn with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. He previously held the 3rd Horn chair with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra from 2019 to 2023. A versatile musician, Peter has performed with l'Orchestre Métropolitain, the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, the Royal Canadian Artillery Band, and more. He holds a Master’s degree from McGill University, where he studied with John Zirbel, and a Bachelor’s from the University of Alberta, studying under Allene Hackleman.

Peter is the founder of the Northern Horn Quartet, arranging and recording original horn quartet repertoire. His arrangements have also been featured by the Edmonton Pops Orchestra, and he continues to explore publishing, teaching, and recording projects.

Outside classical music, Peter is a songwriter and rock musician. His band Showbiz released their debut album in 2019, and he shares his other creative work online.
